Bridal updo
90–120 minTwisted, rolled or pinned up around your veil, your neckline and the way you wear your hair on an ordinary day.
Bridal and event hair, York, Pennsylvania
Updos, braids and soft waves for brides and their parties, styled at your venue after a trial in my studio. Dates book months ahead, and I take one party on a date. Now taking inquiries for dates later this year and next.

The path
Four steps, in this order, and nothing is left for the day itself.
Send your date, venue, party size and a few photographs of looks you like. I reply within two business days to say whether the date is open.
One message, no obligation
A full appointment in the studio. We try the look, test your veil or headpiece, and adjust until it sits right with your dress and your face.
About two hours
A written contract names the date, the party, the start time and the travel. A deposit holds the date and goes toward your total.
Signed after the trial
I arrive at the time we set, set up by a window, and style the party in the order we planned. The bride is finished last.
On location, on time
Travel
I come to your venue, hotel or home, and the travel is set in your contract.
A venue farther than an hour away? Ask. Longer travel is planned in the contract.
Services
Durations are for one person. The trial comes first for the bride, and a contract holds the date.
Every bridal look starts with a trial.
Twisted, rolled or pinned up around your veil, your neckline and the way you wear your hair on an ordinary day.
Waves or curls with the top pinned back, set to keep their shape through the photographs.
A crown, a low plait or a braid worked into an updo, with ribbon or flowers if you bring them.
Your veil, comb or hair vine pinned and tested at the trial so it sits the same way on the day.
Styled at your venue, in the order we plan.
An updo, half-up style or waves, matched across the party so the photographs read as one.
A soft updo or a polished set of waves, sized to the time you have and the hair you have.
A braid, a pinned curl or a small bun with ribbon, done at the venue with a grown-up nearby.
A smooth blowout or loose curls for anyone who wants her hair done but not pinned up.
Prices come from the look, the size of the party and the travel. You have them in writing before you sign.
Your stylist
I style hair for weddings and the days around them, and I work alone.
The person you meet at the trial is the person at your door on the morning. I plan the order of a wedding morning all year: who sits first, when the veil goes in, when the photographer arrives. You get all of that written down before the day.

Kind words
“At the trial she pinned my veil three different ways until it sat right. On the morning she knew who sat when, and nobody waited.”
“She had a plan for six of us and kept to it. I was holding my bouquet with my hair done before I knew it.”
“I don't sit still well, and she made it easy. My hair was still in place at midnight.”
